Cristian Montero

Our Coach is Cristian Montero Velez, ex-professional soccer Player (goalkeeper) from Colombia.

Cristian started his career in “America de Cali Soccer Club” in 1995. He was selected among the best soccer players to be part of the provincial Team “Seleccion Valle” which won the championship for two consecutive years.

In January 1996, he was selected to be part of the U-20 National team “Seleccion Colombia” and participated in the 1997 South America Cup in Chile. In 1998, Cristian was transferred from “America de Cali Soccer Club” to “Real Cartagena”. One year later the Team won the second division tournament and joined the first division of the Colombian Professional Soccer League in 1999.

Cristian has played for several professional soccer teams in Colombia, like “Expreso Rojo”, “La Equidad Seguros”, “Deport FC”, “Real Maryland” (USA), “Academia Compensar” and “Atletico Futbol Club”.

Cristian played from 2012 to 2016 in the Canadian Soccer League for the “Brampton United FC”.

In 2017 Cristian decides to open the Oakville Jaguars Soccer School as a way to keep doing what he loves and to share his knowledge and experience to the new generation of Soccer players.
